Episode 68 – The Derbyshire Writing School Interns!

In this episode, Pete and Laura head over to The Writer’s Room to chat with three student interns who spent time at Derbyshire Writing School this summer.

We’ve been working with the University of Derby to offer three paid internships over the summer. This is part of the Universities DRIVEN project, working with business in Derbyshire to provide practical, paid internships to graduates.

We were thrilled to have Charlotte, Lauren, and Mitchell join our team!

THE WRITERS’ ROOM

Pete and Laura ask:

  • Tell us about yourself, and what you like to write and read?

  • Through taking part in the internship, what have you:
    - learnt?
    - enjoyed?
    - found challenging?

  • After working with Derbyshire Writing School and being a part of our team, how would you describe it to others?

  • What’s next for you?

  • Finally, each intern asks Laura and Pete a question!

What do you need? We’d love to hear from you. We are planning courses and workshops for 2022/2023 and we’d love to know what workshops would interest you. Are there specific topics or problems you’d like us to solve? Please get in touch.
